Weekend in Virginia Beach, March 2009

DSIL Greg, DD Christi, Grandangels (Leanna, Sarah and Cooper) and Grandma sao spent the weekend in Virginia Beach. Greg ran the Shamrock Half Marathon Sunday morning – we cheered – internal cheers, that is. All of the runners looked alike so we almost missed seeing him! Had we seen him early enough, we WOULD HAVE CHEERED!!! DSIL ran well – beat his best half-marathon time and ran it under 2 hours!
Despite a few chilly breezes we had some great adventures. We had a wonderful lazy river indoor water attaction at our hotel – the beach was fun (we were lucky to get a room right on the beach front) and we even found a Starbucks 8 blocks away! 🙂 We ended the 3-day celebration with some time with the sea critters at the Virginia Aquarium.
