Wild Irish Rose Quilt for the Albertsons
Posted By drsao on January 23, 2008
I made a humongous – and I mean REALLY humongous and ginormous quilt for my parents. It is 138″ by 138″ and Valerie (my favorite long arm quilter from A NEEDLE RUNS THROUGH IT in Goochland, VA) said that it was the largest quilt that she ever quilted. She did a fabulous job on the quilting (pattern – Flowers.)
The pattern is WILD IRISH ROSE from MISS ROSIE’S quilt book (and I created the borders using paino keys and square blocks so that it would fit my parents’ CA King bed.) I loved making this quilt and am pleased that it actually fits the bed. My WILD IRISH ROSE quilt now resides in Kansas City, MO with J.B. and Marjorie Albertson.
