Patchworktimes UFO Challenge For September
Posted By drsao on September 30, 2011
I have finished my Patchwork Times UFO for each month – January through August – and I did not want to “BREAK MY RECORD” and not get my September UFO finished. However, I nearly FAINTED when I discovered that the magical number UFO for September was my SPIDERWEB QUILT. I really should NOT have had that on my list because I only had TWO BLOCKS MADE……but silly me…..I had it on my list.
Actually having these lists is really motivating for me (a great way to get things finished) – I just LOVE CROSSING THINGS OFF LISTS!!! Do you?
I got the SPIDERWEB QUILT top together! I love it (it is a Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville.com pattern.)
I am now HOLDING MY BREATH to see what UFO number Judy Laquidara will select for October. I just KNOW it is going to be HOPSCOTCH BUTTERSCOTCH (another Bonnie Hunter design) because I haven’t even made ONE BLOCK. I put it on my list because I had gathered up the correct size blocks from my stash and put into a project box………….I am holding my breath!
It’s beautiful!! I hope Judy picks a good number for your October challenge.
Wonderful quilt – so how do you think Hidden Pinwheels will fit in? My #5 is all embroidered blocks that just need to be sashed and put together. I think it will be do-able and I am glad I do not have a Bonnie quilt on my list. Judy C
Oh it’s beautiful! I love how the black really makes the spiderwebs pop. Good for you finishing the whole quilt! I love crossing things off lists, too – it’s definitely helping keep me on track for this challenge.
It’s awesome! You are on a finishing roll!
Wow–congratulations! Spiderwebs take a bunch of time (somewhere I have a spiderweb UFO of my own)–incredible that you could get it done in a month! The lists are definitely keeping me on track!
I love Bonnie Hunter’s patterns! Scrap quilts are always my most favorite, and this one is just gorgeous. Congrats on getting ALL of your UFOs done so far! I haven’t been so good about mine, but I’m trying to play catch-up now — and cross some things off my list! 🙂
