Friends and Apple Jars

Have you ever been so lucky as to have a friend who saw that you wanted something – and saw that you left it behind BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T REALLY NEED IT – and went back to the store later to buy it for you?
Catherine and I were at HOME GOODS last week and I saw this wonderful set of jars with RED APPLE LIDS. I didn’t buy the jar – I wanted it, but decided it was a WANT and not a NEED so I walked away. I have thought of that jar OVER AND OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS – and even thought about driving all the way back to HOME GOODS to get it – but didn’t! I dreamed about that jar last night!
Well , today I shared with my friend Catherine how much I regretted not getting that jar – and she lamented her LACK OF FRIENDSHIP…..else she would have bought it for me. WELL LO AND BEHOLD SHE DID….it was on my table when I got to Quilter’s Corner today where we gathered for SIT AND STITCH.
NEEDLESS TO SAY I SURE WAS SURPRISED AND HAPPY!

From what I can tell, simply from your blog, you and Catherine are very great friends to one another!
On another note, regarding Piecemakers, I know you’re in the Piecemakers’ Quilt Guild (are there two?). In Costa Mesa, Ca, where I lived not so long ago…, Piecemakers Country Store was my very favoritist place to be, and the people who owned and ran the store were dear friends. Are you familiar with them? even if it’s just hearing about them? (Did I ask you this before?)

Oh! I’ve taken a class from Catherine and spoken with her at QA. She is a dear, dear sweetheart, without any doubt.
Hey, that’s what friends are for, seeing you happy makes me uber happy, so it’s allllllllllllll good, YEAH US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And imagine MY relief when I went back and it was still there, WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
