Fun and Food at Quilt Camp – Tern of the Century, Corolla, NC – February 2013
Posted By drsao on February 24, 2013
Last week was a heavenly experience……quilt camp at Tern of the Century – and thanks to Christy, we lived like princesses for five days. We laughed, we ate, we laughed, we sewed, we enjoyed the spendor of the ocean, we ate, we watched it snow, we ate, we played with Baron, we ate……oh did I mention that we had a five-day food fest? LOL.
Here are some scenes from our table decor and the wonderful gourmet delights!
Isn’t this a wonderful idea…..everyone gets their own cup of veggies and dip so DOUBLE DIPPING is a DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE. These parmesan crips that Alma made were SO GOOD….I wish that I had one right now!!!
It probably took Alma DAYS to make these peppermint heart delights!
Here we have the black and white team…..and my roomie, Karen Dumont, undoubtedly *HANDS DOWN* made the best eggplant parmesan that I have ever eaten…….I have been dreaming about it for the past week!
I thought the toilet paper covered dinner favors were fun….thanks Karen!
This over-the-arm-of-your-chair sewing caddy is fantastic!
Now if you FIND a whole potato in your potato salad….is this like finding the baby doll in the King’s Cake? LOL
We laughed A LOT about this whole potato in the potato salad and I am not quite sure if we ever determined if Jackie or Barbara left it there. WHATEVER, it gave us many happy moments and a great memory!
These handstitched note cards are incredible…….we EACH got six….wow!
Ann made the lacy bookmarks….it almost makes me want to learn to use the embroidery function on my sewing machine!
This HOT DIP MIX was incredible and I didn’t want to forget what the box looked like. I RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY!
I think Christy must have spent hours making these yo yo’s…..what a novel idea of a message board!
Christy surprised us all with a recipe book of all of the wonderful things that we have eaten at quilt camp – this was our TEN-YEAR anniversary……..we had fun trying to figure out who had been around since the first Quilt Camp 10 years ago!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH CHRISTY – that was so very nice and thoughtful of you and we will all treasure this book!
