On the Knitting Needles Friday – June 15, 2012

I love making scrappy quilts – so much so that they are my FAVORITE KIND OF QUILT. So I decided that maybe I should make some SCRAPPY KNITTED AFGHANS to see if I liked them as well. So I pulled together some of my beige, off white, white, and other similar shades of NEUTRAL and started on my merry way. I am using STASH – three yarns at a time on size 14 needles. Every 6 rows I add in some fun fur…..and I am also using some loopy yarn, eyelash and sashay yarns for texture. It doesn’t look so good in this picture – but it is so thick and cozy in person. It will keep me entertained until it is time for my Camp Loopy Project 2 to start June 27!
Guess I need to check out this “Camp Loopy”! Sounds like fun. Love the neutrals!
I did a Ruana that way. They do turn out a bit heavy. Love the neutrals.
Great idea! a scrap afghan.
