Goodness, as I was writing the title for this Post, it just hit me that October is half over…..how does this happen? Do you ever have this JOLT about the date? I do this every year around Thanksgiving……..about a week before I suddenly realize that I need to hurry up and make my annual turkey sausage!!! 🙂
OK – onward – before October is TOTALLY over….LOL!
First – I finished putting the binding on sao’s Road to Brownwood Texas on Saturday while sewing with GHOULFRIENDS! 🙂 Thanks, Judy Laquidara, for this lovely design! I am still in awe that she designed AND SHARED this pattern in the midst of one of the most MEMORABLE MOVES in history!
If you are confused about Judy Laquidara changing her name to Mrs. Green – read this post! THE LIBRARY LADY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!

I don’t think that I have EVER laughed so much at a blog post!
What is on my design floor this week is my VINTAGE HALLOWEEN QUILT that I am hand quilting……let’s just say that I am practicing my hand quilting. Will my stitches ever get small and even??????
My first hand quilted Halloween Panel took me two years! Yes, I said PANEL!!! LOL. I guess it might take me TEN YEARS to hand quilt a regular bed sized quilt. Surely I will get faster with practice. The Powhatan Quilters are having a hand quilting lesson November 7 – I will be sure to pay attention! :):)
Go to Judy Laquidara’s blog at Patchworktimes.com to see what other quilters are working on his week!

Love your Road to Brownwood quilt! Makes me want to make another one. Thanks for adding me to your label! I have that Halloween panel and have never done with it. Yours turned out so cute!
Somehow I can actually visualize Judy and Vince standing there and having this conversation – what a hoot they are and I would love to meet them. Your Road to Brownwood is spectacular. Judy C
Hahaha! I mentioned “Mrs. Green” in my post this morning too! That story had me rolling! Your panel looks GREAT! And so does your quilt finish — beautiful!! Happy Monday! 🙂
Lovely quilts!! Hand quilting takes me forever, so I am opting for machine quilting these days!!
What a hoot that you mentioned Judy changing her name to Mrs. Green 🙂
Love your Brownwood quilt and a lovely label!
The Pumpkins Gone Wild is just fabulous!
Love Pumpkins Gone Wild and the vintage panel – they’re so cute!
