MIND GAMES
Posted By drsao on June 7, 2011
Do you like mind games, riddles, cognitive puzzles? I LOVE THEM. When I was living in CA I had a New Year’s Eve party and I spent DAYS making up mind games for people to play. I had a GREAT TIME preparing the cognitive fun – but – well, let’s just say that my guests were NOT AMUSED! My best CA friend suggested that while my games were “interesting” that perhaps I had picked the wrong activity for a NYE party. SIGH.
Hey – just try this one……..the answer will be at the bottom of this post

I also LOVE WORDS and almost every day I post a word from Dictionary.com on my FACEBOOK PAGE. A few days ago the word was PANGRAM – and here is the post that I put on FACEBOOK. Does anyone remember typing this sentence when they learned to type?
THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG.
This is a PANGRAM – a sentence that uses every letter in the alphabet! Here is the definition from dictionary.com
pangram \PAN-gruhm\, noun:
A sentence, verse, etc., that includes all the letters of the alphabet.
Formerly Utopianna, the country’s name was changed in 1904 to honor native son Nevin Nollop, the author of the popular pangram sentence “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.”
— Mark Dunn, Ella Minnow Pea: a novel in letters
So I issued a challenge and LOOK WHAT MY QUILTER FRIEND KATHY POSTED! LOVE IT KATHY!
The azure quilt excited the unkempt crowd but I found the green one to be just lovely.
My daddy also took the challenge and just now sent me a great sentence as well (and I am still chuckling about the pink vest!)
After I go to the zoo to see the big Jaybird, foxes, and monkeys; I will quickly go down town to buy a new pink vest.
ANYONE ELSE UP FOR A COGNITIVE CHALLENGE? I sure am having fun?
