Colonial Piecemakers December 2010

OH MY was this Colonial Piecemaker’s Meeting *Williamsburg, VA* ever an event to be remembered. The Colonial Piecemakers had lots of inspiring show and tells AND our annual fabric exchange game followed by a FEAST….and I mean FEAST in all CAPS!
Thanks to CATHERINE ( in all caps) after being in the guild for two years I finally have a name tag! Catherine made it for me *and she made one for Margaret and one for herself too) from silk ties…..talk about creativity. I love my name tag…..and it has snowmen on it – I LOVE SNOWMEN! THANK YOU CATHERINE!!!!!
Everyone had a lot of fun doing the fabric exchange……..I enjoyed watching and taking pictures……and I think everyone came away with fabric treasures!
Be sure to notice the little TRAY that Catherine made for her crackers that she baked especially for the feast!!!! AND WE ALL ENJOYED CATHERINE’S STAND UP COMEDY both during her product demo and during her drawing for the BLOCK OF THE MONTH give away! I think the general consensus is that she should go on stage – and I don’t mean the first one out of town!!!
It was all SO MUCH FUN….I just love this guild. Our PRESIDENT *notice that I am NOT mentioning any names in a public place* did an Eleanor Burns trick – notice the little slips of paper that were TOSSED on the floor! 🙂
Enjoy the pictures and remember to click twice to enlarge the pictures! AND – believe it or not the last picture is my FOOD…..oh my – can you believe that I ate the whole thing? Well, it is true! OK – well, I did share half of my gingerbread muffin with Margaret!
Did we have a barrel o’ fun or what?????? EVERYTHING was simply delightful and joyful and ever so right……………… And funny, did I forget funny?????? But being there with Shirley and Margaret was simply tops, heck, everything shared with friends is simply THE best, YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! I love, love, love this group and they love me, how cool is life????????????? Here’s hoping each and every member has a blessed, safe and loving holiday, just as it should be………………
Good Food … Good Friends … the love of husband, family and friends … what more could a woman want. We have it all. Love all of your pictures, Shirley. I was intrigued with the holly leaf wreaths – and Catherine must have made the butteryfly wreath – all so pretty. Can’t wait to start the RRCB – still a vision. Take care and enjoy the reason for the season. Snow, snow, let it snow.
