LEAN ON ME

Schools all over Chesterfield County are celebrating the graduation of their fifth graders sometime this week. Since I have been subbing every day I have had the privilege and joy of helping with the rehearsals……….and I just tear up when I see all of those beautiful, young, hopeful faces of these babes up on stage singing their hearts out! I know that at graduation tomorrow I will cry all over again.
Oh, and by the way, none of these 5th graders here in VA are my grandangels – but they are my babies just the same because I have been the substitute for many of the kids since they started school. How fast time goes by – and it reminds me to enjoy every special moment of every day!
OK – so this is the lyrics of ONE of the 5th grade graduation songs that makes me cry……………LEAN ON ME
Our friends and family members are so important! Let’s all remember to lean on each other!
LEAN ON ME
Sometimes in our lives
we all have pain
we all have sorrow,
But, if we are wise
we know that there’s
ALWAYS TOMORROW.
LEAN ON ME – WHEN YOU’RE NOT STRONG – AND I’LL BE YOUR FRIEND – I’LL HELP YOU CARRY ON
FOR IT WON’T BE LONG – ‘TIL I’M GONNA NEED – SOMEBODY TO LEAN ON.
Please swall your pride
If I have things
You need to borrow
For no on can fill
those of your needs
that you won’t let show.
LEAN ON ME – WHEN YOU’RE NOT STRONG – AND I’LL BE YOUR FRIEND – I’LL HELP YOU CARRY ON
FOR IT WON’T BE LONG – ‘TIL I’M GONNA NEED – SOMEBODY TO LEAN ON.
Just call on me, brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you’ll understand
We all need somebody to lean on
LEAN ON ME – WHEN YOU’RE NOT STRONG – AND I’LL BE YOUR FRIEND – I’LL HELP YOU CARRY ON
FOR IT WON’T BE LONG – ‘TIL I’M GONNA NEED – SOMEBODY TO LEAN ON.
If there is a load
You have to bear
That you can’t carry,
I’m right up the road
I’ll share your load
if you just call me.
………thank you to all of you who are my friends and family!
Oh baby, that is so very lovely and yes, YOU made ME cry. None of us got to where we are alone and having someone to lean on and share our travels and trials, and certainly the tears of sorrow and success with, makes it all such a joyful and blessed journey……………. We are all so very blessed to have each other…………….
