Crafty Quilty News from SAO

Joey’s graduation quilt – the one that I made (in part) from Joey’s undershorts – was a big hit. He had fun looking for the fabric from the undershorts that he remembered! It is hard to believe that Joey has graduated from high school and TODAY (January 6) he left for his freshman year at Missouri State University!
And Eric got his graduation quilt. Eric is a psychology major at Missouri State University……isn’t that so nice – two brothers going to college at the same school!
My parents liked their NEW HOUSE QUILTS…..thank you to Sara Parrish for HURRYING to get my Thimbleberries 3’s Company Quilt quilted in time to take it to KC to live in the den at the new house!
And my parents got my Celtic Knotwork Quilt as a bedspread for their spare room bed! It just fits the bed!
Before I went to Kansas City for the move I gave my DH Max my MILKY WAY QUILT for Christmas – he loves it!
AND TA DA – while I was in Kansas City playing like I was a member of MERTIN THE MOVING VAN CREW (did anyone ever read the book MERTIN THE MOVING VAN to their children?) I started making a sweater. I got One and a little bit of another front part finished. THANKS CATHERINE FOR THE WONDERFUL PATTERN OF BEAUTIFUL CROCHETED ART!
Great to have you back. Love your quilts. Sara’s the greatest. See you Saturday
Happy New Year
You are truly a wonder. You completed many lovely quilts in 2009. If I can only complete half as many this year I will be content. Love them all. I showed the underwear quilt to my oldest kid. Tony just retired from the navy. He wants to start now saving his undershorts for a quilt. I told him, you are his new aunt and he might want to talk to you.

I tried it. I didn’t like it. For me the joy of quilting is in the doing and there is very llttie doing when one has to stop after every seam to press and cut.I like to chain piece and that does not work well with paper piecing. Like you, if paper piecing were the only way to quilt… I’d cross stitch…Paulwww.OutnumberedQuilter.com
