30’s Club at Quilter’s Corner – Sunday June 28, 2009

We had a nice meeting at Quilter’s Corner today – the 30’s club! We had lots of show and tells and lots of fun! There are so many new and exciting quilt classes coming to Quilter’s Corner – I took photos of a few of the class samples. The full list and schedule of classes can be found on the website at www.quilterscornerva.com
Marla was back from her trip to Oklahoma with a WONDERFUL quilt that her sister made for her. It is really outstanding – lots of impressive embroidery work. What a nice sister!
Linda was so excited about her class that she took from Susan on color choices (mind you that wasn’t the official title of the class – but she learned to choose fabric ) – note the picture below – and she wanted Ginger to know that she made the corners mitered!!! I can’t speak for Ginger, but I can say that I am impressed!!
I worked on my Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt today and got a lot done – I think last month I sewed on a total of 6 hexagons – and this month I sewed up a storm! I want to get this ready so that I can hand quilt it – as soon as I learn HOW! Susan believes that a hand quilting class will be offered in November at Quilter’s Corner – so I want to make sure that I am ready!
Enjoy the pictures!
