sao’s DOUBLE DELIGHT – Quiltville Mystery Quilt Progress – and Kitty Update
Posted By drsao on January 11, 2009
I really like Bonnie K. Hunter’s new mystery quilt that she has named DOUBLE DELIGHT. Earlier I posted pictures of my first two steps…..and here are my steps 3, 4, and 5. Step 6 is the part where we sew all of the blocks together. This is on my Colonial Piecemaker’s 2009 UFO Challenge List – so I AM GOING TO GET IT FINISHED! This is going to be one that I am really proud of. I LOVE the little 1 1/2 inch squares in the 9-patch. These really are one of my FAVORITE THINGS! Sherry got me started on these when I made her BIRTH OF A SAMPLER QUILT!
Bonnie and her QUILTVILLE fans are doing another Super Bowl 2oo9 Quilt. Last year we did her Bargello Quilt and this year we are doing her STRIP TWIST – or – any of her quilts in mostly blue colors. I am doing the Strip Twist…..time to go cut some strips! 🙂 You can see the STRIP TWIST FREE PATTERN on www.quiltville.com website.
KITTY UPDATE
I have been getting some requests for a kitten update – remember when I adopted Catherine’s litter (the cat’s litter, that is – the cat who entered her house through her doggie door and gifted her with three kittens!) SO HERE IS THE UPDATE.
Whata’ gorgeous fam you have and so well mannered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes, I do happen to think Max tends to look like his furry charges – HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, those are three of the sweetest and most lovely kittens I have ever had the pleasure of being associated with and I’m thrilled Hannah Fay is taking her studies seriously………….
