Colonial Piecemaker’s Quilt Guild Retreat – SHOW AND TELL – 2012
Posted By drsao on September 24, 2012
One of the things that I enjoy the most about attending the Colonial Piecemaker’s Quilt Retreat is the sharing, caring, teaching and learning that goes on. There was a lot of that at our recent Williamsburg Retreat.
Here are some of the pictures from our SHOW AND TELL night.
Some of the pictures are a bit blurry – because some quilters were in a hurry.
And yes, I did intend to rhyme that time…..but sorry I can’t create a limerick on the spot – but don’t hesitate to ask Catherine to do this for you because I guarantee you that SHE CAN DO THIS!!!)
- Some lucky person is going to be happy to cuddle under this cozy throw!
- The colors in Lorraine’s HALF LOG CABIN QUILT are fabulous!
- IMPRESSIVE – all of these blocks were made from childhood dresses! WOW
- PROLIFIC CREATIVITY PERSONIFIED!
- The dog bed is RENEWED!!!!
- This is a fabulous dimensional design created by Catherine!
- Pinwheels and Bubbles – a Childhood Memories Challenge Quilt
- You wear your blocks well, Bonnie!
- Love this Bonnie Hunter Hidden Spools Quilt made by our Bonnie!
- sao’s Childhood Memory Quilt Challenge – Grandma Reiter’s Colorado Happy Hippos (how is that for a LONG QUILT TITLE!?)
- Sweet gesture – Erika made bags for walkers!
- Can you believe that this was done on an embroidery machine – the kitty is made from soft suede fabric!
Now – do you feel like you have been on the retreat with us? Since I can’t remember any of Catherine’s limericks to share – here is one from me.
OK – so, to be truthful, I borrowed a famous limerick and made a slight modification……..here goes. Just for the record, I tried!

“A limerick is a kind of a witty, humorous, or nonsense poem” ………… can you come up with more limericks to represent quilt retreat fun?
