What’s on my Design Floor, Monday, November 19, 2012 and on the Needles, November 16!

I did get quite a lot accomplished this week while on a fabulous quilt retreat in Urbanna, VA. So here is what is on my design floor (I don’t have a design board because there is no room for one at my house!) this week.
First I will share BIG NEWS…..I actually got the binding on a quilt. This is WORMS AND JELLY ROLLS – a Quilters’ Club of America 2011 Mystery Quilt. This was donated to HOSPICE via the Colonial Piecemaker’s Quilt Guild in memory of my brother-in-law, Jay Hoppers.
The binding is on my WORMS AND JELLY ROLL QUILT!
ANOTHER MIRACLE – a second quilt is bound and ready to be donated to Quilts of Valor. This is a Fabricaholics Summer 2011 Mystery. Yes, I do love and can hardly resist a mystery quilt challenge!

I am happy to say that I completed 11 UFO Quilts for 2012………..my goal was 12 – but I am still happy!
I am putting the blocks together for the Christmas 2011 Mystery Quilt (Jeanne’s Diamonds) from a Pocketful of Mysteries. So…this one becomes a 2013 UFO….can it really be that time already?

Another one for my 2013 UFO List that I will be working on is my Scrappy Postage Stamp quilt….I am making progress….
9 of these blocks are made…..I just love the 1 1/2″ size squares…….
Finally, I am working on my Grandmother’s SCRAPPY Flower Garden Quilt……another 2013 UFO!

AND NOW….TA DA……for the EXCITING PART – ON THE NEEDLES…..or should I say OFF THE NEEDLES is my SECOND………SECOND PAIR OF SOCKS…..EVER.
Here are my BLUE SKIES SOCKS!!! Look they are almost finished……

I am so happy about this accomplishment since I have struggled for at least 4 years to accomplish this…..and NOW I have two pair of socks….BLUE SKIES and the MILLION DOLLAR BABIES!
