Day 1 of the Colonial Piecemaker’s Quilt Retreat – OFFSITE at Erika’s – Williamsburg, 2012

I took a few pictures of my STUFF PACKED….it always intrigues me to see how much STUFF that I think that I need for only a few days of sewing! SO, to amuse myself, I do take pictures of my bags packed. Does anyone else do that! I also took pictures of the glorious drive after we got to Williamsburg! IDYLLIC!!!
Some of us were EARLY EAGER BEAVERS and elected to take advantage of having an extra day added to the retreat. This was an option for everyone – however – only a few were able – or chose to do this. A few of us did jump right in and started on Wednesday. Here are some pictures of Erika, Catherine, and SAO enjoying DAY ONE at Erika’s House! After we RECOVERED from the wonder of the area of Williamsburg where Erika lives – we began to create wondrous works of art!
We had so much fun creating and embellishing and embellishing some more! Catherine brought projects to paint, stamp, cut, glue, and generally have fun with!
- sao is packed and ready. WOW….I didn’t realize that I liked red and black SO MUCH!
- We even have red and black cars! LOL
- Catherine stopped along the way so that I could photograph the journey….love Williamsburg!
- Some people meet their guests with BELLS ON…..we got met with BALLOONS ON!
- Erika has a beautiful barn.
- This must be what living in paradise is like!
- There are treasures in the BACK of this truck bed!
- Catherine brought holiday cheer!
- The tour of Erika’s house! LOVE IT!
- Isn’t this a treasure from Erika’s family!
- Catherine really knows how to have a party!
- We embellished, painted, glued, and had a great time!
- We couldn’t leave without greeting the furries!!!!
