Colonial Piecemaker’s Quilt Guild Retreat – SHOW AND TELL – 2012

Posted By on September 24, 2012

One of the things that I enjoy the most about attending the Colonial Piecemaker’s Quilt Retreat is the sharing, caring, teaching and learning that goes on.  There was a lot of that at our recent Williamsburg Retreat.

Here are some of the pictures from our SHOW AND TELL night.

Some of the pictures are a bit blurry – because some quilters were in a hurry.

And yes, I did intend to rhyme that time…..but sorry I can’t create a limerick on the spot – but don’t hesitate to ask Catherine to do this for you because I guarantee you that SHE CAN DO THIS!!!)

Now – do you feel like you have been on the retreat with us?  Since I can’t remember any of Catherine’s limericks to share – here is one from me.

OK – so, to be truthful,  I borrowed a famous limerick and made a slight modification……..here goes.  Just for the record, I tried!

1.
There once was a quilter from Williamsburg – yes it is you(A) da DUM da da DUM da da DUM (3 DUMS)
2.
who dreamed she was eating her shoe.(A) da DUM da da DUM da da DUM (3 DUMS)
3.
She awoke in the night(B) da DUM da da DUM (2 DUMS)
4.
with a terrible fright,(B) da da DUM da da DUM (2 DUMS)
5.
and found out that it was quite true.(A) da DUM da da DUM da da DUM (3 DUMS)

“A limerick is a kind of a witty, humorous, or nonsense poem”  …………  can you come up with more limericks to represent quilt retreat fun?
