November UFO #3 Twice as Nice – an Eleanor Burns Design
Posted By drsao on December 1, 2011
It is that time again – the day to post our November UFO FINISH. Judy Laquidara of Patchworktimes.Com picked #3 on our UFO list for us to complete for November – and I did it! Here it is – my TWICE AS NICE QUILT.
This Eleanor Burns Pattern is interesting – three quilts from ONE JELLY ROLL! I have had this pattern for a couple of years – and I have had the jelly roll for that long too. THE UFO LIST MOTIVATED ME TO GET THEM FINISHED!
The three quilts are made from one jelly roll; however I added borders, binding, backs, and some background setting pieces and sashes here and there too!
Do you want to see the other two? I thought I heard a YES or TWO – so here you go! 🙂
Here is the first one – Judy of NC named it HAPPY SPOOLS and I think it is a great name!
I am so glad that Judy hosts this UFO CHALLENGE….because it honestly motivates me. So far I have finished my UFO each month – and you can BET YOUR BIPPY I will get my December one finished as well! (What does BET YOUR BIPPY MEAN AND WHERE DID IT COME FROM! lol)
To see what everyone else finished this month go to Judy’s Blog….

Bet your bippy came from Laugh In, but I don’t know what it means. Cute quilts!
Congrats on a beautiful finish. Heck, on THREE finishes! Those quilts are all great and I love the colors, but I guess if I love one, I should love them all since they’re from the same jelly roll, right?! I can’t believe we’re into the last month of the challenge…at least for 2011…
great job! can hardly believe there were 3 quilts from one jelly roll!
Love your quilts; I really like the jelly rolls because I dont’ have to cut so much.
Three pretty quilts in one month? Amazing!
Amazing that all three came from a jelly roll! Even more amazing that you finished three lovely quilts! Congrats on a stellar November!
I know it as “Bet your sweet Bippy” (an elf) – Looked it up and believe it comes from the childrens books in the 1940’s “Bippy” and “Bippy Rides Again” written by Elizabeth Downing Barnitz . Also used on Rowan and Martin’s show, but with a totally different conatation – LoL.
Oh, how I love those three quilts and you did a wonderful job for your November UFO finish. Out of 14, II now have two left on the list. so feel I may be able to finish all. Getting ready for the 2012 list challenge – are you going to sign up? Judy C.
What a beautiful finish! Congrats! I have been so motivated by the challenge as well. I know I wouldn’t have touched half of the projects I finished this year without it. Best of luck in December! 🙂
